With the resources boom we are enjoying there is a dirth of hospitality staff..everyone from the local chippie to the 5 star places cannot get staff. Some have actually closed and other have seriously restricted their opening days and hours.
A good pal of mine had a place "Banco" (in an old bank building), he had to close due to lack of staff and is now holding his other place "Mille" (the street number is 1000) together with all family hands on deck.
There are mutterings about bringing wait staff in from Bali.
