Well done Richard
Yes, Elizabeth was the last Queen of England. Wales was united by Edward "giving" his son to the various chieftains and leaders as Prince of Wales. Anne (of Denmark) wife of James VI/1 was Queen Consort of Scotland and England (Crowned in Scotland in 1590 and in England in 1603). Queen Anne adopted the royal style of Queen of Great Britain, France and Scotland following the Act of Union in 1707. The title of King of France was relinquished by George 111 in 1801. Oddly, the use of United Kingdom in the title, started with the current Queen. Her father was King of Great Britain and Emperor of India - he relinquished the Emperor bit in 1947. Betty Windsor's full title is: By the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of Her other Realms and Territories, Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.
The interesting bit is that the media keep on yakking about the Queen of England, over four hundred years after the title became extant
