Now that was a good party... :geek:

Don't suppose many of you out there have seen Charitomenos in winter mode, blazing log fire and all  (she said, rubbing it in!)

It has been a very strange winter so far, and not just in Symi either if fuchsias are flowering in Sweet Sue's garden...

10 January and still not a cyclamen flower to be seen. Still no snow on the Turkish mountains opposite. :?:

And I'm still picking fresh coriander leaves in the garden which is entirely unprecedented. :)

The Fuschia and Kalanchoe in a planter by my front door are still in flower and the tree in my back garden has started to come into leaf only 6 weeks after it lost them! :?:

It's weird here too. Today is grey and drizzling and in the high teens and has been so for a couple of days. Unheard of for january, but they are tipping 40s for the weekend.
I was talking to Marianne from Stockholm on sunday and not a snowflake in sight. She had been mushrooming!! When I was there at Xmas in '87 snow was over a metre deep and bloody freezing.
I'm not a greenie but I wonder if this erratic weather is due to excessive culling of our global forests? The Good Lord only knows what it will be like in 50 years...luckily I won't be around to find out.
