Happy name day, Lefteris!

Postby Adriana » 15 Dec 2007, 10:44

Just put up some photos on my diary page - and emailed lots more to Mike Gadd to put up on out and about, assuming he is still alive after his trip to Bruges. :(

Needless to say, it is once again raining on Symi :o

Actually, Lefteris isn't dancing, he's just about to stamp on a really great big gnarly spider... :o

But the occasional gosling can be a nightmare:

Lefteris enjoys celebrating:
The thing that strikes me about that picture is not so much Lefteris' insect squashing demonstration but rather the desperate lengths that some people go to to try to win the town hall taxi concession. ;)

I've never seen Costas on his knees before - but then I've never seen him being "entertained" in Rhodes! .... I do wish I hadn't thought of that... :o

Is this my Symi friend Jenine? If so, a Happy Christmas to you and family indeed - and look forward to seeing you next year!

And if you're a different Jenine - then of course Happy Christmas anyway!

What has often been ridiculous is the knowing of the ridiculous by the ridiculous. Symi has had an interesting history but its name being synonymous with monkies or simians has never bothered us especially since a monkey was the first in space. Now that's ridiculous. Actually Adrianna secrets in Symi are like The Stavro tou Poleamou (The Cross of War) which would make a fine walking tour. Ask Michael the pick up truck driver who lives in Marathouda to take you (tell him Dikissi, Zoe's daughter is sending you to him)
