Kojak you can be so cruel :P
No doubt Findlay will have a good try at drinking Symi dry, but as I am tee-total I can't understand the attraction :?:
Glad you have survived your trip to Arran, Benedetti. See you soon :geek:

Just booked the taxi for next Wednesday morning's trip to the airport. 04:30!!! Hell. At least we will arrive in time to catch the 6:30 pm ferry, if any.

Oooo that's an early start, Richard. In two weeks time I shall have a leisurely saunter onto the train at the very reasonable time of 06.51, arrive at Manchester airport at 08.19, a slow stroll to check-in. On the down side - at Rhodes I'll have to harangue the Olympic reps to make sure the Symi travellers get to the harbour quickly this time - no last minute taxi dashes!

I don't mind an early start when going on holiday..It's nice to have more of the day at the destination and flying's nicer by daylight. When flying to Rhodes I like to play "spot the Greek Island" from the plane window. I wont be able to do that when we travel this time because we are flying in the afternoon and it will be dark when we arrive.

You're a person after my own heart Pat :) . I love flying and as you say trying to spot the islands is great fun although not sure I ever recognise any of them but at least I feel in touch :)

I catch the 12.15am coach from Oxford to Gatwick arriving at 1.45ish. Check in is usually around 4 for a 7am flight.

All part of the adventure though I'm usually well and truly knackered and desperate for sleep by the time I hit the ferry which Kojak may be grateful of ;)

This time in 2 weeks I'll be soooooooo excited 8-) 8-) 8-)

We are leaving tommorrow from Stanstead for the first time. We usually stay overnight at Gatwick then let Laskerina take the strain. Anybody else leaving Wed. 12th?

Don't get too upset, Kon. Some of us have to trek to Symi year after year - it's just a chore that we have to do...
