Mythos has moved to the Aktaion with effect from now to the 15 September.

At the original Mythos venue they will be serving pasta and salads.

That is good news. I love Mythos, but there is something about eating your dinner with car fumes that does not appeal.

I agree SamanthaF, sort of spoils the taste, eh? A good position to sell mediocre food, blame it on the fumes.
In o1 I got peeved off at Pat and Alis when the boats came in, a pall of exhaust fumes hung over the bar.
Quite put me off me Mythos!!

We have just come back from Symi and had my birthday dinner in the "New" Mythos and the food was just as good as last year, however the venue was much better, What a sunset!!

I want to also say we had Tapas at the old Mythos and that was lovely too so best of luck to that venture too

Assuming Mythos is worth a visit - where or what is 'Aktion' - and (small gripe about this site - very cliquey) why do people assume everyone else would know this stuff without an explanation? Seems very aimed at folk who already live in Symi or know it well?

Mythos is certainly worth a visit! It's had loads of good reviews and those professional journalist types can describe it far better than me. Have a look at (of all things) the . The review's a bit old now but still fairly accurate.

The one problem with Mythos, as you've probably gathered from the posts here, is it's location. It's right on the harbour side where the road is at its narrowest and just where the ferry docks. Eating at the outside tables as the traffic squeezes past, particularly when the ferry docks, isn't pleasant.

Aktaion is above the gym, a little further along the road. The big advantage is that restaurant is on the roof terrace, well above the noise and fumes of the road and, as Antya pointed out, fantastic sunset views.

Mythos has indeed moved, but there is now a fish restaurant at the old Mythos restaurant.
