Yorkshire isn't the only place that is a little on the damp side at the moment.....Oxfordshire has been very changeable for the past 5 days :cry:

Welcome to the new members. Hope to get in the chatroom myself this week! Weathers very wet here, and got a week off work too. Was so hot at work last week, wasn't planning on going away, but having a couple of days out in the Peak District, but don't fancy bog hopping now!

Well hello and thank you for your lovely welcome. I am off to Symi for the very first time on 13th August and so terribly excited, I am struggling not to bounce in glee. I have been watching your fab conversations with much amusement and am writing down all your tips and advice. Looking forward muchly to the sea and the sights and the spider(!!!!!!!) and the food and looking for the pusscat named Trouble and becoming all freckled and the sun and the boats and the wine and the company and the beach and the beer and the, oh the list is endless!

Yes, you certainly seem to have got the hang of Symi already. I thought that this was a perfect description of the Island in 4 lines. I am sure that you will enjoy your holiday.

I'm sure your will have a fabulous time 8-)

....make sure you are in a position to take in the view of the harbour as you come into Symi....quite spectacular :mrgreen:

what ever time of day you arrive but particularly so at night when the harbour is all lit up.

I'm sure we will hear from you before then
