Oops spoke too soon yesterday, it's back to being stuck on night time :!:

Good luck with sorting it out next week Allan - and enjoy your trip :D

Too late, it's the night view again. Blame me - I'm the guy who can bring on rain just by thinking about going out... :D

The webcam has had its annual service and should be working better with a clearer picture. The time and date is displaying again too.

There are still some problems with the office internet connection so there may be times when the camera seems 'stuck'.

It is giving us some real grief this season. I gave it a good clean, refocussed and reset all the settings when I was there for Easter.

It worked fine and looked wonderful until I got home when it stopped working again.

Moral of the story: Don't come home!

I'm working on a couple of things that may help but it's going to take a little while. In the meantime we have to rely on Adriana turning the thing off and on again which usually (but not always) does the trick.

Can you all see the webcam now? All I've had for the past 2 days is the white square with the Symi Visitor logo, think I preferred it when it was stuck :-(

Not sure if it's just me but looks like the webcam had one too many ouzos last night as it appears to be a bit lopsided ;)

Not a bit of it! This is a new initiative from the Samaras government. They're hoping to attract water skiers to Symi, and a sloping sea means non-skiers won't be disturbed by the noise from tow-boats.

Probably because someone in the SV Office has adjusted the webcam this morning so the sea doesn't seem to slope as much as it did earlier.
Well done Adriana!
