Bike Hire

Postby roseclough » 10 Aug 2014, 16:49

Hi
New visitor to Symi, having had many visits to Halki we finally decided it was about time we visited Similar.
As this island is bigger than Halki we wondered if there were any bikes to hire? Haven't seen any mention in any of the chats so I doubt it but it's worth asking.
Thanks

Do you mean bicycles or motorbikes? You can certainly hire motorbikes, those quad bikes and cars. As far as bicycles go that depends how fit you are, Symi is much more hilly than Halki lol.

Bike Hire

Hello Roseclough. There certainly were bicyles for hire years ago but the maintenance of them was doubtful to say the least. I had a go on a friends bike one night and nearly ended up in the harbour as the brakes were just there in name lol. That was some years ago so things will be better now. I'd suggest contacting Adriana or Wendy at the Symi Visitor office, they will know whether bikes are still available. The email address is on the bottom of the home page.

Good luck! I prefer to help the economy of the bus and taxis these days!
