Fishing

Postby NeilAmanda » 28 May 2014, 13:11

I was thinking of taking some shore fishing tackle this time.

Has anyone tried fishing on Symi?, any tips would be great.

Regards

Haven't tried it ourselves but there are plenty of healthy looking specimens visible in the harbour and round by Nos - Silver Bream we think. Seen plenty of local youngsters trying their hands.

Thanks D and E, I will give Nos a try.

The taverna can suppl the refreshments.

Is it illegal to be drunk in charge of a fishing rod?

Fishing

Postby NeilAmanda » 06 Oct 2014, 20:38

I never managed to go fishing.

On the 2nd day I managed to sprain my ankle at the old church up the dry riverbed at Emborio (the lens from my prescription sunglasses fell out). I managed to hobble to the taverna, but the taxi boat back to the Port wasn't returning until the afternoon.

The walk back can't have helped my ankle. The Doctor wanted me to go to Rhodes for an x-ray, but as it wasn't that painful I thought I would wait until I got home.

It ruined the holiday as we like to walk where we can... never mind there is always next year to look forward to.
