Beautiful views of Symi

One of the many exciting features of the new forum software is the ability to embed videos within posts and since the function is there I thought I'd give it a try.
This video should play properly on all platforms, even tablet computers and smartphones but since I can't test it on everything I'd be very interested to hear how you get on trying to view it.

The video is one of the nicest and most professional Symi videos I've ever seen and since some of the shots appear to have been taken from a camera mounted on a flying drone you get some very unusual views, all in stunning High Definition. It's obviously sponsored by Symi businesses so there's some heavy-handed advertising in there but it's well worth watching and best viewed in HD full-screen if you can.

Great film Allan. Really enjoyed whizzing round the beaches, especially after a day of strong winds which blew the glass out of my greenhouse. Roll on summer.

It is a beautifully made image of Symi. To those of us who need our Symi "fix" in winter it is ideal. Knowing that there are only a few months before we go there is something to really look forward to. This makes me wonder how I value Symi. You could spend your days on a beach, get thoroughly lost in the lanes of Chorio, take a boat trip, walk to your hearts content, simply relax in a local bar or get to know the people of Symi. Symi has alot to offer and has something for everyone and a few good tavernas

I was disappointed too Jon. Chorio was mentioned towards the end of the video, followed by random clips of Panormitis and one shot of the Pedi road. It's a shame because it would have been nice to see the village and, in particular, the Castro from a drone-mounted camera.

Sadly, I guess the answer is that the village is a long way from the businesses who sponsored the video.
