We had a voice message and email from Olympic today.

The Germania flight on Wednesday 11th May out of Gatwick is cancelled.

We have been offered an early EasyJet or an afernoon Thomas Cook and have taken the early flight to maximise our time in Greece and hopefully catch a ferry to Symi the same day.

Just in case any SV readers are affected.

I'll see you arriving in the distance at Rhodes Airport then as I depart on the return journey of your plane same day.
Just make sure Olympic do put you on the Diagoras at 3pm - I'd try to get them to commit to this in advance otherwise on the day you may end up being stuck in Rhodes for 22 hours so they can move all their guests at the same time on the same boat.
It's a very gentle connection and you're in Symi by 4.30pm

We took your advice Andy but Olympic are currently expressing ignorance of transfer arrangements but we will keep the pressure on.

If push comes to shove then we can always take things into our own hands.
