E just Tweeted this and we hope the cutting & pasting has worked.

This link highlights an upcoming ITV series with Julia Bradbury visiting the Greek Islands and says that Sými will be featured.

Very well spotted, thank you!

I knew Julia Bradbury had Greek heritage though I'd no idea it was from the islands. It will be very interesting to see her take on the places she visits, particularly, of course, Symi. Something to look forward to during the cold winter nights.

As Allan says it's something to look forward to during the dark and cold winter.

There have been a few mentions on the Facebook pages about it and I'm already looking forward to it - a winter Symi fix :D

Have always enjoyed Julia Bradbury's programmes and so particularly looking forward to this series. Have taken the precaution of booking a holiday before the charms of Symi are screened to the world at large!

Happy New Year to all!

I watched the first episode (twice!) and it was just as good as I'd hoped. Like JuliaB I've always enjoyed Julia Bradbury's work and I wasn't disappointed. It was nice to see parts of Crete that I recognised and her knowledgeable commentary really brought the place alive. Next week it is Corfu's turn to be featured and I'm looking forward to that bring back some memories too.
It's going to be very interesting to see how she reports on Symi.

I wonder if the show will ever appear on Danish television?

Can it be watched online?

Not legally available online outside the UK but these things do have a habit of appearing on Youtube so keep an eye on that.

I really enjoyed the first episode of the series and can't wait to see Symi featured on it. I follow Julia Bradbury on instagram and commented on a recent post regarding the first episode. I commented how I enjoyed the first episode and that I couldn't wait to see Symi and she responded "one of my favourite filming sequences of all time in beautiful Symi , what a place "
Looks like Julia has fallen under the charm of Symi too!

Hello Siobhan and welcome.

That's a lovely quote from Julia Bradbury and it's made the thought of the Symi episode even more exciting. It will be fascinating to see how she shows the place and I'll be watching closely to see if I can tell what makes it her favourite place. Can't wait.

Well we all know how special Symi is and it looks like Julia has discovered that too :D

Thank you Allan, I've been following this site for a few years but never posted until now. I really enjoy the blogs and look forward to reading them. I've stayed on Symi a couple of times and I am looking forward to visiting again this year.
Julia has also replied to my friend's comment on instagram and described Symi as "one of her favourite sequences of her career in the waters of symi and pure magic" Her instagram account is therealjuliabradbury, well worth a follow.

I don't really do Instagram but I'm sure Julia's account name will be useful to other people.

I'm pleased you plucked up the courage to post here after "lurking" for a few years, it's good to hear a new voice.

I'll be watching Corfu tonight. Must be 20 years since I stayed on Corfu and split my stay between Corfu Town and Kassioppi but I enjoyed my stay and Corfu was very nice off the beaten tracks with some nice walks with a beautiful interior - but then haven't most of the Greek islands :)

Corfu was the first Greek island I visited, about 40 years ago! I went to a place called Gouvia. As we left they started shipping in sand for the beach! I think it’s a bit different now.

Silly me. There I was thinking the programme was going to be about Rhodes and Symi but no it was just showing a presenter can bake a cake and do a bit of diving, big let down.

Sadly, keith p, have to agree with you - very disappointing.
