It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden death of Lemonia, whom so many of you will know from happy evenings spent at Sillogos restaurant in Chorio.

What dreadful news.

I was speaking to her just a week ago and she was in good spirits despite her illness.

Condolences to Lefteris.

Very sad. Lemonia and Giorgios gone in such a short time. Two lovely people and both an important part of Symi.

Saddened and shocked to hear this news. The restaurant was closed for a few days in May (when we were there) for Lemonia to undergo investigations but there was not any suggestion of this outcome.RIP Lemonia

Very shocked to hear the news. I spoke to her just before she left to go to hospital and she was her usual cheerful self. I knew her and Lefteris for many years before they were married. I spoke to him just before I left Symi and saw how worried he was. Sad news indeed.

We are stunned and saddened to learn of Lemonia's death and our thoughts are with Lefteris. For so many years we have spent many nights in the restaurant and many a visit to her shop by the harbour - she was such a wonderfully cheerful person who we shall never forget. Lovely photo Mike.

Martin and I were in Lemonia's shop just a couple of hours before she died. She was as lovely as ever and she and Martin shared a joke about his attempts to speak Greek. We were shocked and stunned when we heard that she had died.
She will be missed.
Our thoughts are with Lefteris.

What sad news to learn about dear Lemonia.
Just read about it. She will never be forgotten, her lovely smiles.
Last year she and I had a good long talk one afternoon in her shop, about the challenge life can be.
I cannot belive she is gone. Our thoughts goes to Lefteris.
What can we do to show our respect concerning his terrible loss!
We come to Symi from the 5 th of September and stays 3 weeks.
